Baseball Cards

Is there a genre of collectable that inspires such a devoted following and booming marketplace? The first gallery, Tobacco & Candy Cards, roughly runs from 1909, when the wildly popular T206s were introduced, to 1929, when the Depression struck. The next category, Early Gum Cards, includes the many great gum sets that came out between 1932 and 1941, when the paper shortages of WWII ended card production. The Post WWII cards are divided into three categories: Bowman Cards, Topps & Bazooka Cards and Post WWII Misc. Cards, which includes everything that doesn't fall into the first two categories.
